I received my diploma in 2016 from the 3000 hour Registered Massage Therapy program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. I am an RMT in two provinces in Canada. In British Columbia, I am registered with the College of Massage Therapists of BC and serving the community of Bowen Island in beautiful Howe Sound. I am now also registered as a massage therapist in Alberta with the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta. Having opened a new practice in Edmonton, I am very excited to be able to offer availability out of my location at the Roots on Whyte Community Building on Whyte Avenue.

As a registered massage therapist, I am committed to working in partnership with my clients in a professional, respectful, and client-centered environment. I support clients of all ages based on individual needs and thorough assessment. I offer support in areas such as:

• therapeutic rehabilitation • pregnancy massage • injury prevention & recovery • efficiency & functionality of movement • restorative health • therapeutic relaxation • general maintenance treatment

I believe that our bodies have an innate drive to find balance and equilibrium and I work with an intention of supporting its unique capacities for resiliency and healing.

I integrate a variety of modalities in my massage therapy treatments where indicated, including:

• Swedish, Deep Tissue and Orthopedic Massage Techniques • Myofascial Release and Mobilization • Joint Mobilization, Joint Play, Range of Motion • Neuromuscular and Active Release Techniques • Cranial Sacral Therapy • Visceral Fascial Manipulation • Manual Lymph Drainage • Trigger Point Therapy • Therapeutic Exercises

Earlier background … I was born and raised in Edmonton, AB graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree in Special Education from the University of Alberta. In my earlier life, I worked with children and adults in various contexts including as a school-teacher, community art teacher, workshop facilitator and Family Literacy Coordinator. I moved to BC with my young family in 2000, raising our children mainly on the west coast. Passionate about connecting with the land, being in the outdoors and growing food, I eventually studied as an organic master gardener at Gaia College, obtained my Permaculture Design Certificate on Salt Spring Island, and ran my own business as an avid gardener and organic food grower.

Through my current practice as a registered massage therapist, I continue to evolve my relationship with being in service of health, wellness, resiliency, and conscious connection.

Outside of my time in the treatment room, I love spending time with my daughters, partner, expanded family and community. I am nurtured by being in the forest and river valley, near the ocean and of course, in the garden with the bees, hummingbirds and ladybugs.

I look forward to working with you in my Edmonton-based massage therapy practice in an atmosphere of collaboration, restoration, and relaxation!
